Review: Visee Color Polish/ Creamy Lipstick review

Last summer I was on the look out for a nice bright lipstick and came across the Visee Creamy Lipsticks and Color Polish Lipsticks.  Visee is a line by Kose, a Japanese Brand.  I wanted to try both lines so I picked up PK 805 in their creamy line and PK 824 in their Color Polish line.  I absolutely loved them!  PK 805 was the perfect bright lipstick I was looking for!  It’s a bright rosy coral with a touch of red and no shimmer.  PK 824 is more of a pinky coral.  They both have great pigmentation and were perfect for summer.

Since I’m still on the hunt for that perfect nude,  I decided to pick up a couple of nudes in this line.  Color Polish Color BE 320 and Creamy BE 300BE 300 is a nude with a slight pink undertone, unfortunately this color just completely washed me out and I have to wear it with a darker liner underneath.  BE 320 is a bit darker and also has a slight pink undertone to it.  I tend to go for more pinky nudes as they suit my complexion more.

The packaging is sleek with a touch vintage to them.  The creamy lipstick comes in black with a lace print where it opens up and the polish lipstick comes in this chrome black with a lace flower print.   It closes really nicely so you don’t need to worry about it opening up in your bag or anything.

What I really loved about these lipsticks are the formula’s.  They are so creamy and non drying on the lips because they have collagen and squalane in their formula.  I have a habit of putting a lip balm under any lipstick I wear but with these lipsticks it might not be necessary.  KOSE claims, the concealer in the formula makes the color appear the exact same shade as in is in the tube on your lips.  It also says on the package, the creamy lipstick will make your lips matte and voluminous.  The polish lipstick will make your lips glossy and voluminous.  They don’t particularly have a smell to them which is always a bonus as well!  The longevity is pretty good but it is a creamy lipstick and you will need to touch up after eating and drinking.

The colour PK 805 is really similar/almost a dupe for the Dior Addict Extreme lipstick in shade 536 Lucky, which I also have.  As you can see in the picture.  Surprisingly though, I found myself reaching for PK 805 more as the color really suited my complexion.

I haven’t tried any of the pink shades so I might have to go get some for the spring!
