Review: Visee Lip & Cheek Tint in PK-2 Girly Pink

I used to take more than 30 min to do my makeup every morning and I always wondered how people can do their makeup in 10 min and be out the door.  I realized I was taking way too much time and I started trying silly things like setting my timer for 15 min, which helped but I still went over.  I like to wear a very natural looking makeup on a daily basis, so it shouldn’t have to take long right?!

I think I’ve found just the right product to help me out!  It is Visee’s LIP & CHEEK CREAM in PK-2 Girly Pink.  This is not a new product, it’s been out for more than a year but I was never really interested in it because cream cheek products just don’t work for me and I never really found one that I liked.  The reason I wanted to try this one is because I thought it would save me time on my weekday makeup,  since it’s a 2 in 1 product.

Visee is a line by the Japanese brand KOSE.  They have some amazing eyeshadows and lipsticks!  I’m a huge fan off their newer line Visee Avant as well.  This 2 in 1 Lips & Cheek Cream comes in 8 different colors.  I was debating between RD-1 and PK-2 but knowing myself, I knew I would use PK-2 more so that’s the one I went for.  I could’ve bought both but I didn’t know if I would like the product and I’m trying to go a little more minimalistic with my makeup these days.  Down below, is a screenshot of all the colors, taken from their website.

PK-2 is such a beautiful pink.  On me, I would say it leans slightly on the blueish side but it’s a very  subtle undertone.  It’s not too cool toned or too warm.  On the package, it says it will gives your lips and cheek a natural blood stained tint, like you’re bleeding from the inside effect, if that makes any sense!  They say it’s a semi-matte formula, which I agree with but on the lips it’s more of a matte finish.  It’s made with a pure gold formulation that gives your cheeks a perfect sheen.  There is no glitter but because of the gold in the formulation it gives off a natural glow.  Unfortunately, the sheen doesn’t apply to the lips, like I mentioned above but you can always add a gloss or lip balm, which they actually mention doing on the package to get the full benefits of this product.  It is great to use alone or as a base for your other lip products as well.

The packaging is super cute, it comes in a round black flower plastic case that’s clear on the inside, so you can see the color of the product.  It’s super light, so it’s perfect to carry around in your makeup bag and for trips.  You also don’t have to worry about breaking it, since it’s a cream product.

Lips & Cheek Cream is made with a composition of liquid essence, collagen and squalane to keep the moisture in and prevent your lips and cheeks from drying out.  The gold formulation gives off a beautiful 3D effect to your cheeks and it melts smoothly into your skin with your fingers.  The texture is creamy when you swirl it with your fingers but when you start applying it to your cheeks, it feels almost powdery.  I guess that’s why it’s called a semi-matte finish!  I find it similar to the Canmake Cream Cheek, in terms of texture but I prefer this one because I find it a little bit more creamy.

This is one of those products I wish I had picked up earlier.  It has been a lifesaver and I love everything about it.  Though it doesn’t claim to be a tint, it says it’s long lasting do to the semi-matte formula.  I agree that the longevity is pretty good and even after I finished eating, I could still see the color on my lips, though it faded a little.  I like to apply this with my fingers, I just gently dab on the lips & cheeks and blend out.  Since I have dry lips, I always apply a lip balm or gloss over.  It looks really natural and I’m loving it for spring!  It’s definitely worth trying, if you haven’t already.

Around 1,000 yen each for 5.5g
