Review: The Choute Silk Glow Art Stick

I have never really been a cream eyeshadow kind of person until the Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows.  They were such a lifesaver during the Hot Humid Summer’s in Japan, when I really didn’t feel like putting a ton of makeup on.  Lately, I’ve been loving the cream eyeshadows in stick form because they are so easy to use and save so much time in the morning!  The ones I’ve been reaching for a lot is from a Korean Brand called The Choute.   They come in 6 shades, a pink, 2 purple shades, a khaki, a gold and a bronze.  All of them have shimmer (as with a lot of asian eyeshadows) and are waterproof.  Each eyeshadow is around 1,250 yen each.

Since I like to stick to my neutrals, I purchased 02 Nude Glow and 04 Sand GlowNude glow is a gold and sand glow is a cool toned bronze shade.  Nude glow is too yellow for me to wear on it’s own so I use it as a base or together with sand glow.  Sometimes I’ll just wear sand glow on it’s own, it’s such a gorgeous shade.  The pigmentation and longevity are great as well.

It comes in a simple black package, with two sides to it.  One side has the eyeshadow and the other side has a cushion tip for blending.  You just twist the applicator up to get the product out and glide it over your eyelids and blend with your fingers.  I personally don’t use the cushion tip very often, maybe just around my lower lashes to clean it up a bit when needed.  They are creamy and very blendable, especially 02 Nude glow.  The shimmer in 04 Sand Glow is a little more coarse which maybe the reason it’s a little less creamy.  I find it doesn’t crease either and since they are waterproof, once the eyeshadows set they won’t budge!  It’s pretty light, compact and not too thick so it’ perfect for your travel makeup bag!

I really don’t have anything negative to say about this product.  It’s a great eyeshadow to have for those lazy days!
