Review: Visee CC Concealer

Concealer, concealer and concealer!!  I am always excited to try out new concealers.  I’m just one of those unfortunate people who, no matter how much sleep I get, how much water I drink, how much exercise I get etc…just naturally have under eye bags.  I’ve been using this Visee CC Concealer for a couple of months now and I have to say I’ve been liking it.

Visee is a line by a Japanese Brand called Kose.  I’ve been impressed by a lot of their products & decided to give this one a shot.  The name CC Concealer caught my eye because like a lot of us out there, my under eyes can get a little dark sometimes and thought maybe the CC can correct that.

It only comes in 2 shades, which is not a whole lot to choose from since there are so many different skin tones.  I’m guessing it’s because it’s targeted towards the Asian market.  01 light beige is more yellow based and 02 natural beige is more peachy based.  I went for 01 light beige since I’m very fair.

The packaging is nothing fancy, it’s beige and has a black cap on the bottom and black on top where you click it to get the product out.  Once you take off the cap, it has a sponge applicator which is one of the reason I wanted to try this concealer.  It reminded me of the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind!  And I love that one.  Sponge applicators are a love or hate thing and I personally love them.  The whole concealer itself is pretty thin and the sponge applicator is also small so it’s easy to use under the eye area & perfect for carrying around.

The concealer contains Hyaluronic acid, Squalene and Collagen to keep your skin moisturised and not dry out.  It is very creamy and doesn’t crease under the eye but the application is more on the sheer side so it doesn’t really do a good job of covering up any harsh bags, which is unfortunate since that’s the whole point of concealers!  Isn’t it?!  The CC is supposed to cover up any acne, blemishes and hyper pigmentation but like I mentioned, I think it’s too sheer for that.  It also did nothing in terms of brightening up the eye area.  The longevity isn’t too bad, considering it is on the sheer side.

Overall I would say it’s a nice concealer for anyone who does’t suffer from a lot of dark circles or blemishes.  For those of us that do, I wouldn’t bother with this one.  I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing after I’m finished with this one.

It’s around 1,200yen for 3.7g
