Review: Aube Couture Long Keep Rouge

I hope you glam girls are all doing well and enjoying this wonderful warm weather!  I’m sure there’s a lot of us out there that feel the same but the warmer months definitely changes my mood and my makeup!  I’m still loving the whole Kylie lip trend thing but the summer months have definitely gotten me using my Pinks and Corals (light & bright) more.  When it comes to corals though, I always end up with ones that are more on the pinkier side because they suit my skin tone more.  Now let’s talk about these super pretty lipsticks from Aube Couture!

Aube Couture is line by the Japanese Brand Sofina.  I would consider them a mid-end line that you can find in Japanese Drugstores and beauty stores.  Most of their products start at around 3,000yen and up!  The drugstore makeup in Japan probably wouldn’t be considered drugstore in other Countries, considering their prices and their lovely packaging.  Aube Couture has some beautiful packaging!

These lipstick are so lovely and they come in a range of colors to choose from.  They also have colors targeted to suit women over 50’s.

I’ll insert a screenshot taken from their website and explain a little bit about their color range, since they have them grouped into 4 different color categories and are divided into 3 sections to make it easier to find your color preference.

In the 1st picture you’ll see it has 4 different colors to your left.  The top color 1st section are the Pinks, 2nd section are the Rose shades, 3rd section are the Red shades and the last one, the 4th section are the Beige shades.  Then on the top, the 1st section starting from the left are the brighter tones, 2nd section are the natural tones that blend well with the skin and the 3rd section the last one are the toned down shades.

The second chart are the colors that are more suited towards women over 50.  The color range is the same as the 1st picture but all the colors are made to make your skin tone brighter.  I think it’s a really great idea to have a different line so women over 50 can find a shade suited best for their complexion/skintone!  Of course they can always choose from the regular line but this just makes it easier to choose, knowing they’ll suit you.

I went for RS303 which is under the rose shade/brighter colors section and RD513 which comes under the reds/brighter colors section.  RS 303 is such a pretty color, on me it’s a bit more of a warm tone pink than rose and I normally go for cool tone pinks but I think this is nice for summer with a bronzed up face!  RS 303 is under the reds but it comes out a deep coral on me, which is why I chose the shade.  I think both of these colors are perfect for summer!  They both have a slight shimmer but the rose shade has quite a lot more.  I personally don’t mind shimmer in my lipsticks though.

The packaging is so so lovely!  It’s silver with a coral crystal like middle where the cap comes off.  I would consider this lipstick one of the slimmer ones I own, which also makes a bit more classy as well.  It’s not as thin as the Chanel Coco Shine lipsticks though.

The texture of these Aube Couture lipsticks are fabulous and wow, they’re so creamy and really nice on the lips.  On the package it claims these are long wearing lipsticks and they don’t come off that easily.  The lipsticks are quite long lasting, though I do need to reapply after I eat unless I want that stained look.  Sometimes after I eat, I just wear a lip balm over the stained lips and it looks really natural and nice.  Overall, I’m impressed with these lipsticks and I’m sure I’ll be picking up the nude color that I wanted to try as well!

The lipsticks are 3,200 yen for 3.8g
